git-remote-gcrypt software package provides encrypted git repositories, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-remote-gcrypt
git-remote-gcrypt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-remote-gcrypt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-remote-gcrypt *
You will get with git-remote-gcrypt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
